The renovated Klaipėda Musical Theatre invites audiences to return to a world of magic. Interior designers M. Mateika, I. Ankudavičienė, and A. Pakalškytė ensured that visitors are captivated not only by the performances on stage but also by the breathtaking interior that blends the theatre’s identity with the coastal landscape. The design features natural materials and a modern interpretation of theatrical symbolism.
The main hall, “The Sea”, immediately draws attention with its impressive finishes echoing the relief of the seaside. Oak and clay were chosen as the core materials shaping the character of this space. The oak staircase steps were finished in the shade Latte (4010), subtly highlighting the signature “wave-like” quality of the theatre’s interior through gently textured tones reminiscent of sand.
