What’s the secret to a cozy, timelessly stylish home? It’s all about using natural materials. These elements bring a touch of nature indoors, blending seamlessly with the surroundings and highlighting the core design concept. In this case, it’s the coastal vibe.
This three-bedroom duplex in Palanga, Lithuania, seems to capture the essence of the sea and pine forests. Sand-inspired hues, echoed in decorative elements, furniture details, and accessories, create a serene atmosphere, perfect for relaxation and rejuvenation. Gintarė Mažonė, the creator of this interior, aimed to incorporate as many natural materials as possible—oak floors and doors, cast stone countertops, wooden chairs and beds, ceramic tiles, and linen fabrics—to preserve a natural feel throughout the home.
The oak floors here are finished in a light N-3408 oil shade, showcasing the distinctive natural grain of Rustic oak. Complementing these floors are classic solid oak doors in a richer, warmer Walnut Transparent color (3081).
