Herringbone Oak Flooring and Stairs: A Structure That Defines the Space

In this interior, the flooring and stairs are not merely a background element but an architectural solution that defines the entire space. Oak flooring laid in a Herringbone 90° pattern brings structure and direction to the interior, while the stairs naturally extend the rhythm of the floor, visually connecting different levels of the home into a cohesive whole.
The chosen Chiana (T-2895) colour adds warmth and a sense of calm elegance. Its deep, natural tone blends effortlessly with light surfaces, soft furnishings and architectural details, allowing the space to feel both inviting and refined.

The Select grade chosen for the flooring ensures a clean, balanced appearance. Minimal knots and a calm wood texture allow the floor to act as a versatile backdrop, highlighting furniture, lighting and other interior elements.
The stairs become a natural continuation of the flooring — the same oak, colour and surface character create a seamless transition between levels, while integrated lighting subtly accentuates the wood’s texture and adds a sense of warmth to the space.

This project demonstrates how oak flooring and stairs can do more than complement an interior — they shape its character, creating a calm, balanced and timeless atmosphere.
