Oaks, the towering giants of the forest, embody the essence of sustainability. Their growth, slow and deliberate, spans 120 years from a mere sapling to a robust, formidable oak. Planting oak trees, therefore, is not just a simple act, but a commitment to a sustainable legacy for future generations. It’s a reflection of our collective responsibility to protect and manage renewable natural resources carefully, ensuring a greener, healthier planet for all.
At Ecowood Group, we carry sustainable and conscientious business practices, cultivating a responsible ethos towards nature’s endowments. The characteristics of oak epitomise our team’s principles, nurturing a sense of community. We uphold the tradition of planting oak trees at Ecowood annually, honouring the bounty bestowed by forests and nature.
We are delighted that this year’s forestry gathering saw extensive participation from Ecowood, Ecohardwood and Medžio stilius. Together with the forest custodians of Padauguva and Trakai, we planted close to 7,000 oak saplings over two days in the woodlands of Vilkija and Trakai. For some of our new team members, this marked their inaugural oak-planting experience, while others tallied hundreds, even thousands, of oak trees previously planted.
We warmly invite you to join us in our tree-planting initiative. By planting trees, you can contribute to the perpetuation of harmonious natural cycles, a small but significant step towards a more sustainable future.
