The teams from Ecowood Group are proud to carry on the tradition of planting oak trees. This year, we visited Trakai Forestry in Lithuania, where we rolled up our sleeves and joined the foresters. For some of our team members, this was their hundredth—or even thousandth—oak sapling planted. For others, it was their very first time getting their hands dirty in the forest!
The oak is a majestic tree and a true powerhouse of the forest, growing up to 40 meters tall. Though it grows slowly, it only reveals its full strength and beauty after more than a hundred years. That’s why planting oak trees is such a powerful symbol of long-term responsibility—a lasting gift for future generations, reminding us all of the importance of conservation and the responsible use of renewable resources.
Each year, people across Lithuania are invited to take part in Forest Day—an opportunity to get involved and inspire others to help regenerate Lithuania’s forests, one tree at a time.
