This spacious family home in Vilnius, Lithuania, is a collaborative masterpiece between interior designer Girstė Urbaitytė and the homeowners. The modern style of the house is not just a result of the designer’s vision, but also a reflection of the homeowners’ preferences and choices. They actively participated in the installation of natural accents, such as wooden feature walls and clay plaster walls. Our environmentally friendly and durable natural oak flooring, a choice made together, also decorates the rooms.
The house is a symphony of unique features, from its spaciousness and high ceilings to its large windows that flood the rooms with natural light, even on overcast days. These elements, which are not just design choices but also practical solutions, allowed for bold and daring interior design decisions that are sure to captivate the eye and spark intrigue.
One standout feature of the interior, the heart of this home, is the massive sofa in the living room. “From the very beginning, the client wanted a particularly large and comfortable sofa in the orange colour. We matched all the accents, even the colour of the floor, to this sofa.
The spaciousness of the home allows the herringbone oak flooring to shine through. The rich Walnut (3481) colour and Original grading provide a timeless style and sophistication, adding invaluable elegance, according to G. Urbaitytė. The interior designer also reassured that the oak flooring was a practical choice: “The family consists of four members, including two young children, so it was important to choose flooring that was resistant to scratches, ensuring both style and functionality in the space.”
