The newly renovated Klaipėda Musical Theatre invites audiences to step into a world of enchantment. Interior designers M. Mateika, I. Ankudavičienė, and A. Pakalškytė have ensured that visitors are captivated not only by the performances on stage but also by the breathtaking interiors, where the theatre’s identity seamlessly merges with the coastal landscape. The design celebrates natural materials and presents a modern interpretation of theatrical symbolism.
The main hall, aptly named “The Sea,” immediately commands attention with its stunning finishes that evoke the textures of the seaside. Oak and clay form the foundation of the space, shaping its distinctive character. The oak staircase, finished in the warm Latte shade (4010), subtly accentuates the theatre’s signature “wave-like” motif, with gently textured tones reminiscent of sun-kissed sand.
